The most interesting feature of the day's session was the hearing in the suits braughtj against the three republican ex-coupty commlssioners.F, Wj? Foster, Jordan ? Nixon and T. ? J. Dempsey, for. a forfait of 1200 each for; holding two public offices at -the same time. There wt-re-a quintette of . thesej suits, two each against the former two.i but only one against the latter - Thei violation of the law by this trio of republicans was too plain to need trial to convince the court their guilty ana so tney maae. no contejiuon. ins Judgment for $00 forfeit wasduly en- tered up against Dempsey. and hepaid( it, the money being handed over &y Colonel Taylor, clerks to Mr. Xicholad Morrlss, who instituted the suit. : In the cases o the former two therr was a decided hitch..
